Being a Swann there is something that will undoubtedly annoy the @#$&! out of you about this product..
Keep the original packaging handy.
Ah just realised it's not POE. So presumably you'll need to run a habit warren of cables back to the DVR. Seems like a good deal if you're not worried about that though.
The Alert had a EOP (Ethernet over power) setup that was great - you could just plug one unit into the wall and router and the cameras into any plug, as long as it was all on the same circuit. But they dropped thebproduct line fairly quickly.
Ah well. Might keep looking.
Any impressions on these? Hard to get a general idea from looking at places like Whirlpool, because they usually favour the expensive but better camears with lots of image clarity, like the Hikvision Chinese cameras.
Used to use a Logitech Alert system until I moved house. Was very happy with it, despite it only being 720p. Especially the pretty easy plug and go setup and did what I needed it to with remote viewing and uploading to the net.
Back in those days it was generally advised to avoid Swann. But that was the days when they were still using CCTV analog tech and not IP cameras.
