This project is not RGBRGB 6x wheel. That has worse colours but it is brighter and better for a living room or a place where the light cannot be fully controlled.
The epson does fine in a living room though.
Might be an issue outside or if you had a living room with direct sunlight and without curtains.

DLP though.. the old DLP projectors were pretty bad, how does this compare?
