Toyota Camry Used car dealers

Anyone have any family/friends in Sydney they can refer me to? Im lookin for a 09/10 Camry Grande. The dealers I been dealing with wont budge off the ticketed price! WTF??? Surely there is some sort of buffer they put on cars to allow room for negotiating?!

  • I have a 07 Grande but I want a Presara now. Have you looked at the Aurions, they have slightly more features + power?

    • I like the economy of a 4 cylinder. What extra features are you speaking of? The camry grande seems to have almost everything! By the way, how has your Grande treated you? Can you give your opinion?

  • +2

The Presara has these extras: AFS xenon’s headlights, Toyota-Link, memory seats, optitron instruments, and a few more things which I can't think of right now.

It also has a 6 speed auto vs. 5 speed. Aurions are rated at 9.9L/100km while the newer Camrys are 8. something, so it's only a little bit of a difference.

Also, MY10 Grande's don't come defaulted with Sunroofs and they are an extra option now (but they do give you smartkey entry and parking sensors, which the original ACV40R series didn't have, although again, these features were always standard on the Presara).

I'm quite happy with my Grande, only use it occasionally though as I have an older 04 Camry Altise V6 which is for daily use. To be honest, I think that my older camry drives better than the newer Grande which could be mainly based on the V6 engine which is why I'm looking to get rid of the older Altise for a Presara now.

If you only want a 4 cylinder though, it's a great car :). I'm sure you'll enjoy it

but… I was certain that all camry's were 4cyl now… (as of 06 or about there)

      • Yes, that is correct. The previous generations 4 cylinder ACV36R Camry has been replaced with the newer ACV40R Camry. The previous 6 cylinder MCV36R Camry has been replaced with the MCV40R AURION. The Aurion is based on the Camry, It's basically a 6 cylinder Camry in disguise with a different bodykit. Lengthwise they are nearly identical, interiorwise there are hardly any differences :) The Aurion was marketed as a successor to the Avalon, but it is still built onthe previous 6 cylinder Camry. The Aurions are marketed as Camrys in Asia and the middle east.

  • Thank you Maybeamacy! Awesome review!

  • Hi lovedeals,

Just an update. I sold my 04 6 cylinder Altise yesterday, going to put down a deposit on a 09 Accord Euro Luxury today.

IMO, it drives and handles better than my Grande, have you considered it?
