Disappointed to not see the new version come out in the nyc event.
Been pestered to buy some for the lady and was not going to pay the now overinflated long established price.
Good that googling AirPods Officeworks gave me umart with a better price, and the guys in store t]were as unhappy as usual to price beat.

The last time that I did a price match which was a while ago I’ve had a guy try and say they weren’t able to then give in, I figured they had to do fill in a some extra fields and they didn’t want to or it was a slow day and it counts against their figures.
but they will include the shipping fee before price beat though
The pick up in store option with Umart does not include shipping fees, so just make sure you say that you are able to pick it up for $199 at X store

I was also disappointed at no announcement today. Got them for $177 delivered though with the 20% off COTD gift cards at coles at the moment.
I guess I had too much hope for apple to announce the airpods 2, feeling very dissapointed since the event last night. Been looking for Catch gift card in Coles today with no luck. OW price beat wants to include shipping fee from umart, which makes it $201. T_T
I was so excited about new MacBook Air, and then they said the price lol. The worst.
Not surprised we didn't get new ones. The rumours of a mid life refresh to add voice activated Siri only, followed by a proper version 2 next year to add water proofing etc less than a year later always struck me as odd and it seemed like having it all wrapped into one release would make sense and be more 'Apple like' in its release pattern.
That and if they were going to announce them, the iPhone event in September makes more sense to me than a Mac/iPad event a month later. Same with the AirPower rumours.
Be thankful they didn't announce new ones. With the drop in the A$ they inevitably would have gone up

I’ve got a $200 voucher for JB Hifi that is like to use on these AirPods, any one know if JB would be up for pride matching a store such a U Mart? Never even heard of them before tbh
