Essential PH-1 or a Mid-Range Phone?

Hello

I am thinking of buying a not-too-basic basic phone for my dad. What do you think about Essential PH-1 now that it's being offered at huge discounts. For all its faults, it's still a good looking phone with beautiful titanium and ceramic body.

    Get a Xiaomi note 5. $220 on eBay with plusme.
    Less if you use vouchers.

    Don't buy it. Andy Rubin's company behind Essential PH-1 is disintegrating faster than you could get hold of this phone. Specs wise it is a decent mid-range phone but go for it only if you want a phone with no hope of receiving updates and no spare parts or accessories.

      Good point, although they did update to android pie very quickly.
