I'm been on the hunt for a decent audio solution for Xbox gaming. I currently use HyperX Cloud Alphas connected to a Turtle Beach headset adapter in the controller but I recently purchased a Gen 1 Mixamp (2013) and have been impressed with the improved audio quality.
That said, I need to run some splitters as the mic on the Cloud Alphas won't work with the early gen Mixamps.
In my search, I came across the handmade Mayflower ARC amp that sells for about $450 but that's outside the budget. Eventually I'm thinking I'll get a set of open back cans and a V-moda boom mic.
Any audiophiles running a decent setup for Xbox gaming and what do you use?
