You fly to and from SD, nothing unusual about that, cruise passengers do that all the time. Some packages include return airfares.
I'd agree with the first comment.
I could understand if the origin was in another country and the destination was AU…. but can't really understand why this would be posted here when both the origin and destination are in another continent.
I'd be impressed if someone went out and bought a flight to SD, just to avail of this.
How is it any different from say, this: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/411582
Nothing requires you to book a trip specifically for it - you may equally make it part of your holiday over there e.g. going to Disneyland as well, tack a cruise on. It's over a year out so easy to plan for.
Further, people spontaneously book holidays to other countries out of Australia when flights are posted here - you still need to book accommodation, transport, food, entertainment and so on. This is similar to that, that you have one elements and still need to book the other elements, just the flight is outstanding, but you already have the transport, accommodation and meals booked. And it's not like flights to the US are especially expensive, or difficult to arrange.
Not sure what the issue is…
@odysseus: @odysseus: There's a few massive differences that wouldn't take a genius to figure out (Asia is beside Oz… day trip as opposed to a week long cruise…. and about $650 difference).
So if I want to visit, say the Arctic, the cruise ship should sail to/from Australia? Or say I want to cruise the rivers of Europe, you want the river cruiser to navigate back to Australia?
@alvian: Absolutely. If you are going to be in the area at the time then the cruise might be worth looking into.
@alvian: That's a bit of a strange comment. Obviously you're not going to be going from the Arctic to Australia on a boat…. but how many Arctic bargains have you found on here?
I'm not suggesting the OP stops posting bargains like this, good on him/her for taking the time to do it.
I mainly just commented because the first commenter was getting negged to bits and I think they had a valid point about the likelihood of this being of use to anyone here.
I'm not suggesting the OP stops posting bargains like this
But that's exactly what TeesAndSuchAustralia wanted OP to stop doing.
Why is this being posted in an AU site?
Hi OP, post more single person deals if you can, thank you
Is this a bargain?
The quoted price of $682 (I assume that is AUD) shows on the linked page, without the application of the coupon code.
Ahhh San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.
Wow, this is a good bargain indeed.
It's from San Diego to San Diego, and that's in the US of A. Why is this being posted in an AU site?
