What size ceiling cut-out?
What is the mounting hole size? - 85mm-95mm
Are these compatible with older dimmer switches? Can I just swap out 230v halogen lights?
My roof is on a slope. About 30 degrees. Would these work or would I need to get ones with a gimble?
If you are a business or re-seller, a wholesale price may be available. ^_^
The hole dimensions these lights use are 85mm-95mm. I will be updating the description later tonight to include this.
There are spring levers holding the lights in place, so I would expect they should be fine on an angle, as long as there is enough room to hold them, Our site has a datasheet that can be downloaded that includes measurements, and a picture will soon be added to the site with the same dimensions.
These are unfortunately not compatible with older dimmer technology, but these particular units have 3 brightness settings, triggered by turning off and on again. They start at %100 brightness and dim to %40 then %10. There is also an optional dimmer unit that can be obtained that we may stock in the near future. i believe it can dim up to 8 lights simultaneously :)
Check out Ebay much cheaper
Postage seems to be about $13,assuming the 500g parcel won't work.
Seems to be about $20 (free postage) on ebay.
Just checked with the postage calculator on our site, the postage on one unit is $8.55 (Auspost 500g Satchel), so for one unit, the above mentioned eBay option would indeed be cheaper by approx $0.55.
If you order multiple, for example 2 items, then you're paying an extra $14 over our base price, but our shipping now allows Transdirect's Fastway service to pull ahead with a $10.55 charge, saving $3.45 overall
With further checking, that Transdirect Fastway charge is good up to 8 devices, which would be an extra 8*7 or $56 over our base price, or $45.45 more.. Sometimes free postage just isn't free… that said, for a single unit, it definitely does seem to be a better deal. Well spotted. We like deals here at Techlads just as much as consumers do! ^_^
So if you're replacing a single faulty unit, definitely go eBay, or if you want more than one, Shop with us. ;) (Or indeed if you want to replace one AND have a spare… ;) )
If I buy 50 can we do a deal
