Can anyone recommend a portable bbq grill that is easy to work with charcoal and easy to clean? Budget is $150 more or less. Kettle type is fine with me and looking for one that I can easily put in the car. Thanks in advance!

Yep, the Weber range is my primary choice at the moment, looks easy to clean and will lasts for a lifetime. Just want to know if there is a negative side on it and or an alternative brand.
Personally Im trying to find one of these in the same price range you mention. They are solid and become flat pack after your done.

That's really handy and made of 316 SS, but missus will not be impressed.
You can get in various sizes. However the key thing is flat packing. Its great. There is a youtuber named Ronny Dahl who uses this very regularly and it stands up to all the abuse.
Might be a bit out of your price range but i just got a ProQ frontier smoker. Its modular so you can have it with both stacks and smoke meats and break it down to just a small little kettle to take away with you. Its $260 full price but i got it last weekend for $211 with 20% off at BBQ galore.
I just bought Bunnings $20 one, is this wrong?
Not really. It's just the quality of cheap ones means heat loss etc
Weber Go Anywhere would be my pick. I previously had a Smokey Joe (mini kettle) and the GA is a lot more practical as the legs fold up and secure the lid in place. Plus it's rectangle shaped so easier for storing/transporting. I actually bought it as a replacement for easier camping/picnicking.
Weber Go Anywhere, Weber Smokey Joe, or Weber compact.
