TV Recommendations

My 5yr old piece of junk I got from Aldi for $250 is on its last legs. While I wait for a good TV deal to come along, I thought I'd start looking into recommendations. I know the Hisense 55N7 has previously been an Ozbargain favourite, and I'm guessing the 55P7 supersedes it. Is there much fanfare for this model or is there a new favourite entirely? I'm looking to spend around $1k, thinking 55" and 4k are the primary requirements.

    I have a 65N7 bought for ~$1,340 and 55N6 $580. Both are still going strong and work very well. With a 3 year warranty, I vouch for the Hisense brand (at least their upper end models) . Sorry, can't comment on the P series.
