    Does it take long for the probe to measure the temperature with the Ikea one? This one reckons it'll read the temp in 3s to within +-1 degree (which I'm a little skeptical about).

      We've tested ThermaMate against the best and it reads temp within 3-4 seconds. MONEY BACK if it takes more then 4 sec :)

      I have never measured to see how long it is. But I can say it is not material enough for me to care or for it to affect my cooking.
