Question for the people who have one, or have played with one, whats the spotify integration like? main question being does it let you choose to play Spotify to a Spotify connect device from a tap on the screen, like it does in the android apps or is it a more simplified setup, just for control over Spotify that is playing directly on the Hub itself? Cant find any review videos that show the Spotify app, so would be great to know if anyone has the info.

Im interested in the spotify integration too. I currently use my 2x google homes, 1x google home mini and 4x chromecast audios in a multiroom with Spotify. Only thing its missing which would be nice is if I could navigate using this google home hub and display cover art. Would be a nice addition.

The latter. It doesn't really have "apps" per se, but if you ask it to play a song (or music) and have the Google Home (phone) app set to default to Spotify, it sources from there. It shows album art and the phone's spotify app can control the Hub's volume.

Re the other questions on speaker quality, it's better than the minis, not quite as good as the Home and thus nowhere near as good as something like a Sonos One.

      • Thanks for that, might see how the Sonos/Google Integration pans out before diving in.

  • Can you use the Google Home Hub as an e-reader (visual) for e-books ie. moon reader etc? There is nothing about it on you-tube or google searches.

Not sure, but I doubt it. Either way, it would be a bit like trying to watch videos on the Kindle.

TVA15 doesn't appear to work for this item anymore? Only SHOP10 does now, for me at least.

  • You have entered a duplicate promotion code "TVA15". - what does this mean?

I have one already want a second just for the photo frame feature :)

  • +1

Only 10% off now with code SHOP10

  • Will this work in a car? I'm looking for a replacement for my broken tomtom

    • Interesting notion. Though not sure if it has built-in GPS hardware.

        Introducing Google Home Hub Auto

    • What exactly would you be using it for? It's not a head unit.

Just got refunded after seeing it, the screen is way smaller than I thought it would be, the screenshot is somewhat misleading. I would suggest have a look at it in person before picking it up, imagine you have a 6.x inch phone and it's only less than 1 inch larger, this Google device is cheap for a reason. Personally 10 inch lenovo would be way better but it's too expensive.

Looking at it right now, screen size isn't too bad but def not for watching YouTube since it's not much bigger than a typical phone. Speakers may be bit better than home mini. I do like it but won't be picking one up until I see for 150ish, I'll keep dreaming

    • Cheaper rather than cheap. Has the guts of one of those cheap Chinese android TV boxes which explains why it runs a bit laggy when using it in store.

Plus crap screen resolution so ultimately the hardware in this is worth what 50/60 bucks at most?

  • I purchased lenovo Smart Display 10 inches(FHD) from Harvey Norman. It includes Google Home Mini as Bonus.
    Pricing details:

    RRP: 399
    Negotiated for 360
    Included Amex 50$ cashback
If someone dont need home mini sell it for 40$
Price comes down to 270. Plus I am travelling overseas so can claim TRS of 32 AUD.
    Final Price: 240$

    Reviews:
    Screen is amazing.
Speaker is decent not crystal clear but still fine better than Google Home Hub.
Can cast videos from youtube to the device.

Cons: Few microphones, so you have to be closer to the device (with in 2-3 meters). One speaker is loud, than because of noise, it wont listen to you.
