Do the special sound modes carry over to different devices (ex: windows/mac osx) or are they exclusive to decices with the app?
So for example, if I put bass boost on the sony connect app and then connect to Windows, will the bass boost/sound profile from the app be identical on Windows.
that's quite painful, so the eq only works on android then lol ?
I have the XM2s and believe that any modifications made to the app are confined to that device (iOS or Android)

I could be wrong, as they may have updated this for the XM3’s, but certainly is disappointing at the price point (isn’t RRP $449 or $499?). I know other headphones, such as gaming headphones for consoles or PC can have EQ profiles saved on the cans themselves, some with presets you can save and easily cycle through. So, really, there’s no reason why similar functionality couldn’t be included (unless ANC tech takes up too much space but I doubt it!).

Sony better at hardware not software. Then again its still good that there is an app at least to mske the adjustments.
Hey guys just to let you know that I bought a pair and the EQ settings do carry onto Windows, you just need to set sound to SBC.
Doesn't feel like they do unfortunately. On windows you can change some things from the device settings.
