I believe they took the Aioli wrap off the menu this past week or so (and others I believe), they gave me another option, in typical McDonalds fashion it was significantly smaller and cost more in normal wrapping as opposed to the boxes previously.

It's gone to shit since I worked there 15+ years ago…

What! That was my favourite :(

      • +1

        Same, I loved it.

Don’t even start me on how saddened I still am over the Sweet Chilli Wraps being pulled years ago 😪🤤

  • 7.65 for the new wraps - so 5.65 hmmmm

  • 7.90 to 5.90 at Central Maccas (Sydney)

  • O/T but does anyone know how to access the extra monopoly codes from ordering via the app?

    • +1

It's over but they were emailed to the email address used to login to the app.

      • I never got an email for any of my mobile orders, just the receipt.

Doesn't matter anyway, I never seem to win anything other than small fries.

        • +1

Check spam folders? The email with the codes took a few days after ordering to arrive.

          • @dust: Turns out I ordered it after the promo ended, oh well

lol mcflurry. some icecream in a cardboard cup thats stirred once by hand then charge $5+ for it.

    • Third the ice cream when it came out…

    • +7

      Not even stirred usually.

    • Shaken but not stirred…

    • Is mcflurry actually icecream? Tastes no better than the soft serve cones.

      • +6

It’s the exact same soft serve from the same tap from the same machine. Just in a cardboard cup with toppings.

Soft serve = Soft serve in a cone
Sundae = Soft serve in a plastic cup with syrup with a premium price
McFlurry = Soft serve in a cardboard cup with a topping like sprinkles and sometimes syrup at a MASSIVE premium price.

They used to be mixed by attaching the end of the spoon to a spin my machine to make it a “Flurry” with all the ingredients but they no longer do this and just give you a normal spoon.

That's what I thought - not sure why people get sundaes and mcflurries (or soft serves for that matter, but that's a different reason). Worst value ever and not even stirred!

@pennypincher98: That's true, but then you can make the same remark for all consumption decisions of big brands in the global market.

        • +2

Isn't it just better to go in with your own cup, buy 3x cones and smash em up?

When they first came out they were expensive but at least had the bit of a gimmick of the machine whipping it. Then they jacked the price and took away the machine not sure how the menu item still even exists.

Got too excited thought it was $2 for the wrap and then went to maccas and was surprised to pay $5.60 oops

    • LOL same, only I removed it from my cart when I realised they still wanted like $5:60.

    • I tried the chicken wrap this lunch. It's an okay for $5, but definitely not worth $7. For $8, you get more substantial filling and subjectively tastier subway wrap.

      • +3

$5 is 2 burgers and 2 chips at hungry jacks with coupon. Jr Whoppers but still adds up to more than a single normal burger.

Shake and win a free large drink and that's a poor man's meal for $5 in 2018. But lately my large drink wins have been "error"

Subway is not as healthy as one would believe …
