Portable speakers aplenty, but very few will play from USB stick! It's for the kids … playing from USB means no need to leave my phone near it for bluetooth connectivity. I got a great one from target for $25 ages ago, FW-1327, but they don't sell them anymore.

How about a Bluetooth speaker and a cheap android phone with Spotify?
Not many would support USB playback.
I should add. With a <50 budget realistically what are you expecting?
