Not a really good deal - it's cooling only model.
I recently picked up a Fujitsu 2.5kw for $520 ish after cash back - reverse cycle. I'd say Fujitsu is a better brand than Kelvinator too.
I’d agree, and also would go for a Japanese model if possible. Nothing against Kelvinator, but the price doesn’t seem super competitive considering that AFAIK Kelvinator haven’t really established themselves as a long term reliable air conditioning manufacturer. Just my thoughts. I’d imagine that plenty of folks would have Kelvinators and are likely happy with them.
When we were shopping around for an aircon, the installers we spoke to warned us away from Kelvinator - said that was the brand they most often had to repair.
Kelvinator is certainly NOT the brand it used to be…
