I frequent Coles Kings Cross and bananas have been $1/kg for at least the last 3 weeks. Should've posted earlier but forgot.
Not sure if state or nation wide.

Checks out.
Haha. My mate and fellow Ozbargainer thought it'd be funny to change my username when I was away from my desk and I couldn't change it back. Ozbargain limits your username change to one a year or something.
Speak to the mods, I'm sure you could get a sex change.
Your mate is a keeper.
Do you frequent KX Fitness First by any chance?
@Scrooge McDuck: KY…
FYI you are eligible to change your username yourself, it has been well over a year since you last changed it.
In any case mods can always assist with earlier username changes with valid reasoning, as mentioned above. Contact Us
So many jokes, so many ways to get myself banned.

That's never stopped me…
M'nnn M'nnnn .. cheap and yummy bananas where else but at Kings Cross
pretty sure that it is not nationwide. Have been keeping my eyes on Coles' bananas for quite a long time now and the cheapest I have seen was around 2.99
My local coles has bananas at $4.90 total rip off. Wow
Where are you?
Coles Broadway NSW for me (I bought them yesterday at that price)
@orangetrain Burwood buddy
Hahaha 4.90 at my local store and they are pretty much always green, gotta wait 3 days to eat them anyways xD
May explain the low price.
Thumbnail looks like popcorn 🍿
You looking at it on a flip phone?
Yeah MicroTAC.
Monochrome popcorn?
I was thinking ferrero rocher…
What a coincidence between op User name & Banana ;-)
He was also too preoccupied to post the deal earlier.
Wow, that's cheap! Really wish this was nationwide-only $4.90 at all 4 the Coles stores I've checked.
4.90kg and we in north Queensland
$3.90 at Lane Cove.
$4.90/kg here in Melboring.
$4 per kg at Kurri Kurri NSW.
$4.50/kg here at Prospect Woolies. Damn that's cheap
Didnt know bananas are so cheap at kings Cross
For that price they have gotta be used bananas
These are second hand.
Is it worth the effort to drive from north sydney to Kings cross to get 20kgs of bananas and freeze them for smoothie?
How is anyone except yourself supposed to answer that question? :| What one might see as worth the effort, the next person may not …
That’s one massive smoothie
Strong bags and OPAL?
$4.90/kg here in Burwood NSW
Are these laced with needles? Why are they so cheap
$4.90/kg at Coles toowong. They’ve got a banana cartel going on at Indro and Toowong for years… once you venture out to Kenmore banana prices are like $2-3/kg.
Woolworths (aka the Pokies People) have just opened a new venue across the road. Its an actual supermarket and has no pokies at this location. Perhaps Coles are just using this as a loss leader to retain customers that might be tempted to visit the devil across the road.
yeah they did it at Rhodes NSW when Aldi opened there. for one week bananas were $1. get your bananas while you can.
I was in there yesterday and they are also selling bananas at the same price haha.
Rejects,all bent.
Nice username
