Not likely, Hot Wheels produce millions of the common models included in these sets. These days you're hard pressed to find anything collectible "on the shelf" as anything likely to appreciate in value is Brodened at release (eg the recent 50th Anniversary black card models) and goes straight to Ebay. There is the occasional collectible among the single packs (eg the Bugatti Veyron) but again you need to be very lucky or know someone in-store to get them before they disappear.
I would appreciate corgi cars more.

Connoisseur ice cream 1L tub and 10pk Hot wheels used to be go for $5 on special. Now they are $10 on special. How times have changed. I wish my income doubled during the same time.
