Bulknews - Usenet Block 2500GB €17 (AUD ~ $27.53)

130

Long time lurker, first time poster.
My usenet block just expired so was searching for a new one and found this old OzBargain post here

Just thought I'd give a heads up since it's currently cheaper than that price last time. 2500GB for €17 was by far the cheapest I've found.

Disclaimer - never used Bulknews before (just finished my Usenet.farm block), but at this price I thought it was a no brainer to try.
No coupon code required.
Not sure when this expires.

I have no idea what this product is - what is a ‘block’ and what does one do with it?

    • what is a ‘block’

      It’s on TV Tomorrow.

    • Usenet is a very old messaging service which can be used to store files.

To access Usenet to download files you need a Usenet provider such as this and you will either pay for unlimited service or buy "blocks" which is just an amount of data you can download before you need to pay again.

      • What find of files? and can you access other files

To anyone wondering, Usenet is similar to Torrents. In itself it isn't illegal, but is commonly used to download pirated material (movies, tv shows, games etc.) Not condoning or condemning, just sharing some knowledge. Good article explaining it here

A "block" is basically like a prepaid amount of data you can download.

Why down vote? Lots of people asking what it is and they have explained it right here.

    That's a lot of porn.

  • Hey OP is usenet still as 'free' as it was 10 years ago?
