My brother's school is introducing a cashless payment system next year. Its looking for creative and original names. Does anyone have any great ideas? Would really appreciate it.

For what exactly? Canteenware? Tuition fees? Bookstore? This information would help name the SCPS (School Cashless Payment System).
Assuming that this your brothers assignment, he's got more problems with the assignment if the fictional name is holding him back…

So anything will do….it'll probably have nothing to do with it's intended purpose.
I'd go with Diamond card. Makes it sounds like it's worth something and not to be misplaced.
I would prefer no particular name and just call it what it is a cashless payment card.

For example if it was for James Rose maybe RuseBucks or for Baulkham Hills HillsCoins.
To avoid possible confusion with other currencies I would maybe pick something obscure but unique to the environment.
Let's see for school maybe LightCoins or BulbBills to encourage and remind of smartness or brain usage.

OK. Cashless payment system similar to like Opal or your credit card Hey. Hmm.
I mean if you really want something memorable and possibly last a long time something that works with Sydney would be best. Might even branch out into something more in future (like become a currency for stores or vending machines outside school depending on how you decide to do it and sell it / market it) that would be pretty cool.
Can't think of an exact name right now but maybe since you have Sydney in the name something like S-Bucks or Boys Bucks (although this could break some current age political correctness rules in this day looking a bit sexist or misogynist).
Since I came from Fort Street I am just imagining all sorts of names relating to fortnite haha lol.
Honestly if you guys have like a memorable teacher or person or like building or space in Sydney Boys High School I would try just that to give it more personalisation.
I have a feeling though that you might want it to be more subtle and not too memey or gimmicky though so the kids don't also maybe get too dad joked about it.

@Gandalf the Thrifty: Yeah actually on second thinking that does sound kind of promiscuous or too adulty for a school setting.
Maybe who was the founder of the school put their last name in the currency but then that might open another while can of worms in terms of legality and legislation.
I guess something simple is best.
