This seems to work fine through the website on first purchases too currently

Greetings everyone, just saw this on the Amazon website!

Use APP15 within the Amazon app to get $15 off eligible purchases.

eligible order on the Amazon App
The promotional code entitles any new or existing customer of amazon.com.au who has not previously made a purchase on the Amazon app (from the Australian Amazon store) to $15 off their first purchase when they spend over $49 on eligible items via the Amazon app. For the purpose of these terms and conditions "eligible items" refers to any item sold by Amazon AU through the Amazon app.

Eligible items excludes products sold by third party sellers (including Amazon US and even if fulfilled by Amazon AU), digital purchases such as e-books, subscriptions such as Prime video and audible, gift cards and postage or delivery rates

This should also stack fine with other discount, such as the 20% off $50 spend on everyday essentials.

Please Note:

Cashback does not apply from any provider as they don't track Amazon App purchases

As always, enjoy!

        • Same :/ bit weird for Amazon to change it overnight like that

          • @Jeaso: Well I was too busy with the kids and full time work. Thought I would still be able to order this morning.

Didn't think Amazon will change that quick neither. Because I know eBay does it but now I know so does Amazon

Probably because it's been ozbargained and they decide to pull it. Pretty lame

I don't see any other reason but they fulfilled their numbers in this promotion

I was able to get what i wanted but its no surprise to have it stopped early as a business and people opening many accounts to use over and over is possibly another reason why, good on you if you did and i suppose amazon could have put things in place to stop being used more than once.
I got $15 off this app and $20 from the maccas deal so did ok.
Just wish amazon was a little bit better in regards to what they sell or at least the stuff i buy.

  • Got an email from cashrewards is confirmed after I purchased rdd2. Expected cashback $5.31. Thanks OP

You mean RDR2? And how'd it get to $5 at 6% cash back

    • +2

Won't happen. Gets tracked but then won't be approved.

    edit

another reason why i love Amazon (use twitch/buy enough enough that amazon prime is worth it)
doubt ebay service would do the same

    • Did your code have an expiry date?

      • nah he just added it to my account and it showed.

        edit

original code expired originally on the 31st

    • -1

      same. $15 added

      • Wouldn't for me.

          i kept insisting

          Amazon: I am sorry
But we cannot issue it as the promo was expired
Me: i am not going to accept no as an answer
because this is a dodgy practice
i would like the $15 reissued on my account immediately
Amazon: Let me just check what best I can do for you
I will issue $15 promo for your account

    • eBay have given me promo codes before, and their service is pretty good most of the time, though I'll admit Amazon's steps it up a notch.

They're different platforms with different strengths though - I find them both useful enough that I have both Prime and Plus memberships, and both have already paid for themselves.

  • In the end they offered me $10 promotional credit. Still good I guess…

  • Just found something worth buying and looked for this code, damn you amazon for moving the goal posts. I thought these guys were supposed to be excellent in customer service, changing promos mid way isn’t my idea of customer service
