Earn double Velocity Points when you book a Virgin Australia flight by 22 October 2018 for travel between 1 January 2019 and 9 October 2019*.
Ensure you activate the offer before booking your flight.

*To be eligible for the Double Velocity Points promotion you must (1) Activate this offer through the activation link on this page between 12.01am AEDT 15 October 2018 and 11.59pm 22 October 2018 inclusive (Promotion Period); (2) book an Eligible Flight during the Promotion Period; and 3) enter a valid Velocity membership number at time of booking. An Eligible Flight is a flight marketed and operated by Virgin Australia, for travel between 1 January 2019 and 9 October 2019 inclusive which are flights on which Points can be earned and booked in a fare class that normally accrues Points. If your booking is cancelled during the travel period, the booking will not be eligible to earn Velocity Points. Bonus Points will be applied to the base points only. Any applicable tier bonus earned will not attract Bonus points as a result of this offer. Bonus Points will be applied to the originally purchased fare class and any upgrades will not attract Bonus Points as a result of this offer. This Velocity Points offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion. You should allow up to 4 weeks after the travel period for the bonus Velocity Points to be allocated.       In the past I have received bonus points and/or bonus status when booking through Amex Travel. Don’t see why this would be different, but don’t take my word for it.

      Generally it's one promotion or the other. You cannot double dip, if you want a cash back you will get refused the points vice versa

      During last offer for double credit I got the double credits for office trip booked by corporate agent so it should be fine unless they have changed it completely !!

      LAst time as well similar T&C were mentioned !!

    does this double point applies to the CODE SHARE flights too?

    eg. going to South Korea via Code share flights via Singapore airline purchased on Virgin Website?

      The way I read it no.. as Singapore airlines operate the flight, same would go with VA flights operated by Delta etc), I see it as Virgin metal only flights with a VA number score the bonus

    Woolworths have 2000 (ie $10 credit) bonus points per $100 VA gift card purchases. Ends tomorrow.

      You can use one card only, for multiple cards you have to ring them to make the booking which will incur $40 booking fee.

    Weird, I wonder how can it be for travel between 1 January 2019 and 9 October 2019, when Virgin only permits bookings 330 days out, meaning today, the latest flight you can book is 9 September.

      Promotion ends on the 22nd October, I assume by then you'd be able to book through to 9 October

        It's 16 September (if Oct 22 is one week from now, add one week to the last date available…)

        Which is pretty shitty for anyone with kids, since school holidays start Sept 21, 2019. Can't use it for that.

      But taxes are usually only $20 and are poor use of points.

          Log into your Velocity account when booking your flights and make sure you have enough points? Not sure why you're asking these questions … Have you not booked a Reward Flight before?

    Does anyone know if freedom fare flights booked will attract double points if they are changed within the bonus period next year? Eg not cancelled but rebooked for a different date within the bonus period

      You can only get one or the other. Virgin can be assholes. Their deals are not normally stackable.
