2nd Thoughts Regarding "Good Deal" on CF RX580 4GB?

Hey there!

I was really excited , thinking this is a fine deal , 430$ for 2 cards , 6 games bonus , and somewhat good performance (I think…?)



But idk , now I've been starting to think maybe I was just better off with a 1080?

(Might I add , CPU is I5 4690 , 32GB DDR3 RAM , 1080p Monitor with FreeSync 👌🤠)

Anyone has a good insight into CF?

I've always been an AMD user , not attached to them , just happened to appeal whenever I wanted to get a new GPU. So I kind of know what to expect.



Still, opinions are welcome , the sooner I get a good firm opinion I'll be able to decide wether I cancel or keep it :|

    what is the 2nd card for as crossfire isn't very helpful. you would be better off getting a higher end card cheaper if so

      Eh…it's 2 RX580 4GB cards , that I bought for 430 AUD , not sure what better card goes for less?

      I think we misunderstood each other 🤔

        No, yehan is saying that Crossfire isn't that good, so usually better to get ONE better card, than 2 NOT AS GOOD cards.

        So the 1080Ti.

    A single 580 should be good for most of your needs at 1080 unless you've got a 100+ hz monitor.
    There's diminishing gains with CF and it's less and less supported so you may end up fiddling with setting etc

    if you bought those 580's second hand you got ripped of m8 theres a brand new asus strix one for 269 which goes down to 230 and if you happened to have ebay discounted gift cards you would probably get a brand new for around 210 :)

          Nah , I have the 480 8gb, and a laptop with 1060 , idk why I even bothered. Dodged a bullet. 🤷

              @xauke7: I ordered the 2 when I was out of my alcohol-virgin mind on Vodka Cruisers 😂 , this morning I was like wait a minute…I don't really need it , seems like a big pain!

              Waited forever because of timezone , I actually hid from a delivery guy from Startrack cuz I thought that was the package! , Now I need to go pickup a package… -.-
