Need Advice on Best Zero/Low Commission Fee Stock Trading Apps That Support Local/International Stock Market

I am new to stock market. I read online and notice that the Robinhood app doesn't have commission fee. Does it support Australian and international market or just US market? I heard that you can buy stock through your banks but commission is expensive.

Need advice from experienced stock traders/investors on which platform to start with and good for the long run.

Thank you.

  • Hey catcancode,

Robinhood isn't in Australia yet. The best price for trading is from Selfwealth . It's a flat $9.50 fee for a trade of any size.
I personally use it and would recommend it.

    Cheers

Depends on how frequently you plan to trade and what trading platform you want to use?
Interactive brokers charge $6.00 per trade or 0.08%. Has nice desktop platform and phone platform.
    US markets are even cheaper.

Depends on how much money you are thinking to spend per trade.

Unless you are planning to make regular trades of $10k or more i think interactive brokers offers you better value.

  • Hi,
Currently, Robinhood App isn't available in Australia.Free trading means that Robinhood Financial receives $0 commissions on self-directed individual cash or margin brokerage accounts that trade U.S. listed securities placed online. Keep in mind, relevant SEC & FINRA fees may apply.
