The unique dry safe ink formula allows the cap to be left off for up to 48 hours without drying out. The alcohol based pigment ink in the artline 577 has a non offensive low odour and provides dense bold colours.

You know you're a baller when you Afterpay 50 pens.
Or a teacher
Free from workplace 😉
How much is delivery?
Great for teachers who often have to buy their own classroom supplies!
I think it's piss poor that my workplace offers us more supplies than some schools do to teachers. No teacher should have to buy this stuff, it's ridiculous.
For some reason Australians vote for the two major parties that pay for private school education while leaving the public system to rot.
Despite a long history of the two parties doing this they continue to vote for them which is a signal that they want it.
The real problem is that there's many policies that a party holds, and they don't really understand always why they're voted in. Is it because of their NBN policy? Their stance on human rights? Maybe they're getting votes because people who voted for the other party last time felt burned. There's too many issues and they're way too complicated for a simple elected/not elected to be a clear sign.
It is a job where instead of taking stuff from work to home, you have to take stuff from home for work.
Not only is it the stationary, but all other teaching resources that come out of your pocket with no reimbursement system. Unfortunately to be creative, at times its mostly out of your own pocket. Things like transport for excursions if we are to take public transport aren't even reimbursed (often needed is it is a more cost effective option then hiring a coach).
Work places are often businesses, schools are not for profit, so it's difficult to compare the two.
Student teacher here - I nearly bought out the local Big W’s stock of the recent $1 Staedtler packs of whiteboard markers and pens. I took them into the school I just did prac at and handed them around and they were so welcomed (side note - is it still brodening if you buy but give away the bargain?). I agree with the above that so many offices/workplaces are laced with stationeary but teachers usually buy their own
side note - is it still brodening if you buy but give away the bargain?
There's a specific term for that and it's "bloody legend".
"stationeary" I hope you're not an English teacher…..
"….."
Five full stops - I hope you're not either!
top praccie right here.
The process in Queensland state schools is to gain approval for a purchase through your cost centre manager (usually Head of Department, Head of Curriculum, Deputy Principal or Business Manager, depending on the size of the school and if its primary / secondary). You can then do one of the following:
- raise a purchase order, which is then approved through normal finance workflow, and then take that purchase order to the store (any school near an OfficeWorks, Big W, etc, will have an account set up);
- purchase the items yourself (ensure you don't receive any rewards points) and then fill in a reimbursement request, submit with the invoice to your finance department, and the money will go into the bank account in which you receive your pay;
- if you hold a corporate card, purchase it with this, or if you don't, ask your manager to use their corporate card.
The second and third options can also be done online if the seller has online ordering and payment.
I realise this process is annoying (it has to be for transparency and audit purposes), but no teacher really needs to buy their own equipment with their own money if they don't want to. For a $1 whiteboard marker, you can just buy it yourself if you want.
Source: I'm a teacher, Head of Department (therefore a cost centre manager), and corporate card holder, in a Queensland state school.
Given that stationary for many teachers is an absolute essential (even in an age of smartboards and PowerPoints) it's still piss-poor that Queensland teachers have to go through this convoluted process to get items they need to work. In other states you don't even get this, in my experience…
It's the same process you would go through working in any Queensland government department. It's actually not as bad as it sounds - my teachers send me an email and ask for something or just ask me in person, I jump online and order it with my corporate card (or drop into Officeworks or wherever on my way home), and then each month I submit the invoices for my corporate card to finance to reconcile the card.
Bought 2, not sure why but thanks.
Is this the best we can do on OzBargain? What happened to the cheap Wallabies and City to Surf shirts of yore?
I'll take a 90% saving on a quality-brand item any day. My work gets these OfficeMax whiteboard markers that always dry out or run out quickly - I'll be picking up a few of these.
Sorry, I believe you've misspelled 'OzBogan'.
…non offensive low odour and provides dense bold colours
Good luck getting bold colours out of a black pen.

Perth WA Unfortunately there are no BIG W Stores with stock of this item within 2000 kms of your location.
Note it won't actually be 2000 kms though.
For those having issues on stock from Big W, I assume you can price match at Officeworks?
Update: Nevermind didn't see it in stock at Officeworks.
Still got like 6 of these I nicked from high school years back, quality marker.
That'll teach them for not teaching you good values.
