  We used to have one of these, it certainly won't be an issue if your pet knows their limit. My dog only eats his portion at the end of the day, never go crazy on dry kibbles, he gets wet food in the morning. We only got rid of it,because kibbles may go stable in the container, and one food bowl lasts him all week long, so no inconvenience.
