I got one from the Brisbane store. They asked if I saw it on ozbargain

They said it was the last one but I would check with the store in case people put them on hold and don't collect.
Tried Watergardens HN and they said it's probably an error in price. Wouldn't match (they would get back to me in the future if it was legit and if they ended up having more stock in a few days!). Even though Highpoint DJ had in stock. Friend bought and priced beat OW in watergardens earlier on in the day.

Also tried to price match this morning and manager said, "David Jones is doing a clearance of their stock so it doesn't count".
So if Harvey Norman won't price match David Jones who will they price match?
Wish they'd go out of business already. Can't even keep their word when it's advertised on their front window.
If it doesn't say clearance, it's not clearance… surely you can report it to the ACCC for false advertising or misleading representation of the word "GUARANTEE"
DJs are trying to "clear out" their stock by selling things at non-extortionate prices. Must be a very foreign concept for HN.
But seriously, I'd write up an email to their head office and show a screenshot including that the page doesn't say anything about clearance and their derpy sales people are violating their policies of price match.
I've even had a price match rejected because it's lower than cost price

Thank you OP. Just managed to price beat at OfficeWorks, Belconnen store- Canberra $604.19. It was a very simple and no fuss process. This is the 1st time ever I have tried price beating and I was surprised to see how simple it was. Just showed the DJ link on my phone and done with in seconds no questions were asked FYI.
Could have been much sweeter deal if I buy after 26th Oct to get TRS as I am travelling overseas but the price is good and I badly need a new phone.
You absolute legend, thanks to you I got 2 from the belconnen officeworks after giving up on this deal as DJ's Canberra stores don't have an electronics department. Bonus is that I'm going on holiday soon and can claim TRS!

This phone is the most frustrating phone I have ever owned. Oh if I had my time again.
Yeah have some friends that owned the S8 (own the S7E myself) and they all wished they waited for the S9.
I will wait until the S9 is about this price next year before next upgrade.
What makes it so frustrating to use? Just curious since I've just purchased it but have to used it yet.
Let me see, …the finger print sensor fails to read it half the time. (especially if you have washed your hands).
The GPS irked me for ages as it kept losing signal until I realised the bright sparks at Samsung disable it, without telling you, when the battery is in saving mode. The software is ALL rubbish. Bixby included. The phone was sometimes crash even when I hardly had any apps installed. The curved glass is very difficult to protect. (mine has cracked already even with a very light fall, 1 foot on to tiles and I have a rubber protector). I also dislike the way it locks or lack there off. I have made several phones, random jibberish posts on FB etc whilst it is bouncing around in my pocket.
The battery is good. I loved my LG G3 and should have bought the G6..
That's a shame to hear, hopefully I don't encounter similar problems. Not sure why they would disable the GPS when in battery saver, I'll have to look into that.
@Jkerrigan - I have been playing with my new s8 past few hours and came across a setting asking if I want to disable key presse I dark (pocket dials at all) I think enablibg this may solve at least one of your issues if that helps.

Picked one up at Liverpool Officeworks today an hour or so ago, they placed it on hold for me. They said they had plenty of stock left when I collected. Store person was aware of the David Jones offer when I mentioned it, they checked the website to price match themselves, I didn't even have to show them the offer myself :) happy camper!
I called OW belconnen for a price match and they told me they have called DJ who advised they are oit of stock on all the australian stores so office works refused to price match :( . Anyone have any ideas on getting around this since person was able to get one in liverpool not long ago . P.s i called office works at 10am this morning

Went to Jb Hoppers crossing for a price match , guy said they had one in stock and someone bought it, must have been you. He offered to call up at plaza and reserve one for me at the counter. The guy he spoke to on phone said he will price match David Jones but when I reached plaza they started being an askhole and said must be a price error at DJ and they can't price match.
Came back home saw your post(thanks) and went to Officeworks werribee. They said they had one in stock and someone already took it, must have been you again. But they reserved one for me in Geelong. An easy drive to Geelong and came back with a S8 for my mum.
They had plenty of stock in Fitzroy and Geelong if someone is still interested.
