Wow, great post, xev. Well detailed. Just the way I like to see posts.

Any suggestions on an AU adapter to go with this wireless charger? (For iPhone)?

If there are any recommendations from Amazon I can purchase it together

    • I would recommend using the one that came with your phone.

      • Wouldn't that be way too slow? It's only a 5W adapter (iPhone).

        • +1

I don't have an iPhone so am unfamiliar but I believe the newer iPhone's (XS/XS Max/XR) are supposed to do up to 7.5W.

I know there was some controversy over how fast the 8/8 Plus/X could charge, it was supposed to be 7.5 but was only 5 and an update was supposed to fix it?

I am sorry I am a bit uncertain but I am sure another OzBargain member will know more about it.

          • @xev: Oh yeah the new iPhones are supposed to be able to have a higher charging speed. The issue is more that that depends on the power adapter that is plugged into the wireless charger, if its supplies too little power to the wireless charger, then the wireless charger will deliver a much slower speed to the phone. I think normally its recommended to use a QC 3.0 /2.0(?) charger with this for top speeds hence why comment OP was asking for recommendations.

            Thanks anyway OP, bought one.

            • @orbz: Thanks for clarifying, I wasn't actually sure.

It would be best to go for a QC3.0 charger 15W or higher.

          • @xev:

I don't have an iPhone so am unfamiliar but I believe the newer iPhone's (XS/XS Max/XR) are supposed to do up to 7.5W.

They can but not all Qi chargers support 7.5w for the iPhone, including models that can go higher on Android. The Amazon listing suggests this will max out at 5W on the iPhone and won't do 7.5w. The XS/Max etc aren't listed but I doubt they are any different to the X, 8 and 8 Plus that all supported 7.5w also for select chargers.

            Compatible Models:
            10W Charging for Samsung Galaxy Note8 / Note5 / S9 / S9 Plus / S8 / S8+ / S7 / S7 edge / S6 edge+
            5W Charging for iPhone X / 8 / 8 Plus

RavPower does have other models that explicitly state 7.5w support for Apple devices.

  • Thanks for the deal! Nice that it comes with lifetime warranty. How does it work? Do we contact Amazon if there's something wrong with the charger?

  • +1

Thanks! Ordered. My Samsung one died and my charging port is a bit finicky.

  • Can this be used with a Samsung galaxy watch without overcharging?

    • Hi, it does come with overcharging protection.

      • That was fast, no stock!

        • +1

I will ask the Rep for a new deal as soon as they can get new stock.

  • How is the led ? Is it bright ? Planning to use it on my bedside table.

    • +1

It's really small, not bright at all.

  • How does this one differ from the one that you posted yesterday? They look different, but I couldn't identify any other obvious differences.

    • Performance wise they have the same stats, this one is a bit wider and taller, by around 5mm each way.
The top is entirely rubberized. It has a more discreet light.

      • +1

I purchased the one from yesterday but prefer this one with a more discreet light. Can you help mw cancel my order so I can order this one?

        • Unfortunately, as the orders are fulfilled by Amazon you would have to contact them to cancel.

If you have Amazon Prime and it is too late to cancel, they have free returns on unopened items.

  • how does this compare with the xiao mi ones posted here recently?

    • Same specs, they would be very similar.

  • +2

Thanks bought 1 to try at work :)

  • Any feedback on what this is like compared to the Blitzwolf charger from the other day? I’ve bought that but if this is just as good/better I may give this one a crack as well.

    • +1

I can only compare specs, which look similar.

  • +1

Just got one after researching for a long time. Hope it's great. Thanks!

  • +1

do they make ones that can fit on the vent of your car?

    • +1

Yes they do, they will release into the Australian Market in the future.

  • spec wise looks very similar to my Mcdodo wireless charger, was pretty happy with that. wouldn't mind to give this a try to compare. thanks op for the price.

  • I know its expired, but those with a new iPhone Xs or Xs Max will be able to charge at 10W.

Apple has upgraded the induction coils in the new iPhones therefore raising the charge from 7.5W to 10W.

    • +1

are you sure? Description on the listing says 5W for Iphone x

  • Can these charge through a Spigen case?

    • +1

As long as it is not metal or thicker than 3mm

Be nice if new stocks come through too! Thanks :-)
