Special Order - Dispatch in 36 - 38 business days

It also says available 26/10, but man, if you buy from these guys your chances of having the game on release day are slim to none. JB is $69, a lot of people have access to discounted gift cards. Amazon is $69, plus Cash Rewards.

    • I know what you mean. I’ve preordered the cheapest before but bought 2 copies anyway so I could play certain games day 1.

      • +8

Including cash rewards, this isn’t even the cheapest currently available. So, I don’t know what the benefit of ordering through these guys is? Also, if you’re in absolutely no hurry to play the game, why would you even preorder? Meh, each to their own.

Well that's great news. Please share.

          • @hearitfromhorse: I don’t need the share it, it’s been posted here a couple of times already.

          • +2

@hearitfromhorse: Currently through Amazon with prime you can have it delivered to your door on release day for $64.86 after cashback, $0.56 cheaper than this deal and delivered sooner, so you can use your bargain sooner.

If all you care about is a good price, there's better prices than this one.

Save $4… Why on earth are you pre ordering if you don't want it right away?

  • -4

Save $4. Um. Isn't this ozbargin.

    • +4

Purpose of pre ordering is to get it early. If you don't care when you get it, you should wait for deals to pop up after release, they always get cheaper.

      • So, I am happy enough to get it 'early' but not desperate to have it arrive on day one. So if it means getting a good price and waiting a several days for it to arrive, I don't mind. I'm pretty relaxed about that.

And yep, you could wait. But then again could wait until it goes in the bargin bins in a few years. Either way, it's a good price and it'll arrive when it arrives. But thanks for your advice.

        • Often it only takes a week or two. You might be waiting longer than that for the game to be delivered. There will be cheaper online deals too after release that possibly will ship faster than this pre order also.

    • Bargain doesn't always need to equate to 'less money'. For instance, JB HI-FI preorder is $69 and with that you get:

      • Midnight Launch at selected stores
      • The War Horse and The Outlaw Survival Kit digital upgrades (yes even on standard edition)
      • Entry to competition to win a 10 day USA holiday with $1000 spending money

Lower price with Amazon receiving it on launch day with a free prime trial and used 12.5% at CR yesterday., so that's a NO for me.

    • And still cheaper from Amazon with only 6% Cash Rewards, and you will most likely receive it on launch day.

    • Also might just be me but I've only bought a few things from amazon and they have been dispatched in hours or a day at max. So I really do think that RDR2 for those who pre-ordered will arrive at launch day or the day after. (Presuming Aus post doesn't f up)

      • day after is a saturday iirc

        • O
I think posting should be a 7 days a week business tbh, would help a lot of people get their mail on time especially cuz if they ordered on Thursday/Friday they wouldn't have to wait till Monday to get their item dispatched.

          • @Ostrk: In the states amazon delivers even on saturdays but not on Sundays.

They usually send the game the day prior release so you can receive it on time.

If you occasionally don't receive the game on release day, you can contact them and in most cases (it worked for me before since I used to send games to an US address) they give you a $5 or $10 amazon credit, which is good at least for me.

    Just in case anyone missed it, here is what the linked page description says about when you will actually receive your game (this is important, I’d hate for anyone to preorder this without realising);

This product is reserved at our suppliers warehouse. Once the sale event for this product closes we will arrange for the product to be shipped to our warehouse, packed and then sent to you. Because this is all organised after the sale closes, expect it to be Dispatch in 36 - 38 business days.

What an absolute joke for a preorder, or “pre sale” as Catch calls it.
