Thanks OP! Got it for $25.95 delivered with another item and shipster.

    • Hey mate, just wondering how you got shipster to work? I understand you have to have the same email address on Kogan account and shipster account to automatically link?

Other than what you said, you need to have a total spend of > $25 and a delivery cost of < $20 :)

Luckily with this + a cooling rack it came to $19.66 delivery, so just inside the limit!

    • whatelse did you buy?please recommend

I got this because it'll come in handy soon, but there's heaps of items around $6 ish, check my price hipster link below to help out!

  • Any tips on items to get it over the 25 for shipster? :(

  • Does this have to be used with a Nespresso machine or does it work independently? I assume the latter but just want to confirm.

    • doesnt need nespresso

Only works in the presence of George Clooney

Standalone. Kids use ours all the time to heat milk to make milo/hot chocolate.

Some reviews online aren't that positive and suggest that it only really works with long-life milk. I personally don't own one and the one video I saw the foam was not quite truck-stop foam but not far off either. I can see it being useful for younger children who you want to keep away from a steam wand.

    • Makes warm milk not hot milk in my experience

I've had this for a while and have been pretty disappointed tbh. Most of the time It only heats up the milk, rather than creates froth. Using A2 full cream. Just a heads up!

(For comparison, I've got a Sunbeam frother which absolutely kills this one. )

      i found the opposite…
      the frothing attachment not required…

the standard spindle is enough froth for us…

      • Been using mine daily for over 2 years with no issues. Milk is warm.

Normal attachment makes enough froth for normal and light? (the light blue label, not pink label) Milk.

I have two of these and they work really well using full cream, low fat, and (shudder) soy - the spinning spindle attachment has a removable spring on it. With the spring on, you fill the thing up to the first mark - no more. This makes mainly foam. With the spring off (which is how we usually use it), you can fill it up to the max mark. This then makes hot milk suitable for flat whites or hot chocolate. Press and hold the button for a few seconds and the light goes blue and froths but without heat. The only time it hasn't worked properly, I've found the kids haven't put the spindle in and/or it's not on the axle on the bottom so it's not spinning.

The only minor issue I have with it is cleaning - need to make sure you rinse it as soon as possible after using it, to avoid ending up with crusty dried milk down the bottom. The non-stick finish is good, but if the milk dries on it it can be harder to remove.

  • Anyone that has shipster and in the Sydney area wanna go in an order for one each?
Edit sorry I saw it's limited to one per order.

Excellent price, tempted but the reviews stop me buying it.

  • cheaper than the Aldi one, nice find OP

  • I got one with my old nespresso machine years ago and find that it works ok but the milk is not as warm as I like. Normally had to zap it in the microwave for 30secs or so.

  • Good for Chai powder with just milk (GF's an addict) or Instant coffee (Jarrah etc.) just make sure you clean it straight away, great price!

    • Yes, make sure you clean it out straight away every time. Thanks OP!

  • after I signed up in shipster, it is out of stock!!!!

  • What are these like compared to the one that comes with a nespresso machine? I want to ditch my machine but keep the milk frother.

A common complaint is that they don’t heat enough. Australians seem to like coffee particularly hot for some reason. Maybe because we have evolved from Blend 43 +
boiling water + dash of milk.

    Good price, dammit missed out!

  • Is this like a shaker?

    • It’s for latte/cappuccino alongside a pod machine or espresso machine.

  • If anybody grabbed one and doesn't want it, let me know!

  • Estimated dispatch for me is the 24th of October, fyi keep calm and bargain on

  • BACK IN STOCK!
