Buzz Sound from My Samsung PS58C7000
Comments
I have a 2 year old Samsung plasma that has a quiet buzz/hum to it. In my previous house it was placed in a corner where the walls made the buzz from the back more prevalent. My new place has different acoustics at the back of the TV so don't notice it anymore.
As stated in the Whirlpool thread, acoustic dampening in the back helped. A simple pillow between the back of the tv and the wall helped for me.

+1
this will increase the sound absorption co-efficiency and thus less sound (waves) will reflect back than having a hard wall with a high absorption co-efficiency
you could basically add anything that is soft to your wall, it should increase the absorbed sound(and decrease the reflected sounds)
.
and also depends on the spacing between the wall and the back of the TV

Overall, yes it is a common issue
