Android Power Consumption - Deep Sleep

I usually use an app called Accbattery to monitor the discharging speed of my phone when I sleep. The hibernation normally can put my phone to a good sleep overnight for about 3%-5% power consumption per hour, I know it's not the greatest but it's an acceptable speed for me considering the battery conditions.

Recently the 'deep sleep' hours have been reduced to less than 1 hour overnight (the longer the deep sleep the less power consumption), even though I do not have any unusual App usage, the phone just doesn't sleep long enough.

Can anyone offer me some suggestions?

Thanks

What kind of pillow is the phone using? Memory foam or latex offer good support.

Plug it into power when you go to bed instead of worrying about battery drain at night.

Surely a battery monitoring app also consumes battery?

  • Android is inherently power efficient on standby; not much you can do about it

  • Check your wakelocks.

  • Wake locks but you can't do much if you're not rooted.

    Why not factory reset?

Back up your photos, files, etc first

Did you know, it costs about $1 per year if you charge a mobile phone every day?

Christ, over the life of a phone that's like a cheeseburger!

Charge it at work to save that $1
