Looking to make my first *new purchase of a washing machine of at most $800. Thinking of something around 8-10kg
Currently got a old 4.5kg no brander that can't even handle a blanket..
Looking for something suitable for a small family in the near future….

Pretty good user rating on the Bosch. 4.5 stars average out of 43 reviews. I’d go with that.
Electrolux EWF12853 = Made in Thailand
Bosch WAW28460AU = Made in Germany
I purchased the same model Bosch in early 2017, couldn't be happier with it!
Some say the Bosch seems a little smaller in comparison to other 8kg machines, you reckon that’s true ?
The Bosch has been out for years and has a pretty solid all round review from people.

I thought that was a general top loader vs front loader thing, not a Bosch thing?
It does seem like you wouldn't be able to fit a big quilt cover or something in there… I don't think we've tried yet.
Bought the exact same Bosch 2 weeks ago using 20% at BingLee/Ebay
Picked up yesterday, haven't used it…yet.
I did a fair bit of online research.
There seems to be a mixed bag bag of love hate for almost any brand/model

That particular model Bosch.
So many good reviews
On that, and German model, and 20% off, bought it.
And getting the matching Heat Pump tomoz.

We also recently bought the WAW28460AU due to all the positive reviews.
Still adjusting, have only ever used a top loader before.
No complaints so far except having to bend down to get clothes out and sometimes small items or bulky items touch the floor when pulling them out after, so get dirty again, just have to get used to it or buy a box for it to sit on.
FYI When we visited TGG in store they pushed this one over the WAW28460AU because it apparently it had a better anti flood mechanism and a drum light…I think apart from that they are almost identical.
However, it is a model exclusive to TGG so I didn't trust that they were being unbiased and not many (if any) reviews.
Can anyone comment on the wat24261au model?
A little cheaper plus may be able to stack another deal.

I have the WAW28460AU and have been using it for over 1 year. Am very impressed and happy that it's made in Germany. Great price at the moment as it can be bought through TGG Ebay store and stacked with the 20% off discount which makes it $829.60 C&C.
