Selling at Jbhifi for $243 so was very happy to see this for sale (not even on sale) for $148.
Jbhifi price matched with no issues and I paid with vouchers bought through the entertainment book for another 5% off.

Depends where you buy it.. at a physical store at least $10 per cartridge of 10. Standard
On eBay you can get as low as $8.50 per cartridge of 10 standard. before any coupons or cashback.
Be mindful of expiry dates also
Standard film is just white framed you can get themed ones which can cost at least double.
Was impressed by the quality of the prints. It'll be a hit at events and the like. But yes tiny photos and film is expensive. Digital photography has spoiled us! In the end, you're paying for the convenience of physical prints on hand, anytime, anywhere. Some of those prints will be priceless for people. Hard to put a value on that!

Do you know the capacity of the number of film pieces it take? Is it just the regular instax film cartridge?

It's 10 films a cartridge
It is $1 per film. The film is also quite small. Good for when you are travelling.
