Can this be used with Nintendo switch?

    • +2

      Sure.

I refuse to buy items listed in a way which obscures price. Eg: this comes up as $1 on eBay search but that's only the adaptor at that price. I remember reading on here it contravenes eBay's listing policy too but they don't have the balls to enforce it. Not sure if true.

Yeah that stuff drives me crazy. I'm not sure if it's a design flaw on ebays behalf or what either.

Made it particularly hard to find a 500GB SSD a while back, when sellers with 128/256/500GB models were using that trick.

      • +2

They do it so their result comes up first in a price sort.

        • Set a minimum price above $1. It filters out all listings that use that trick.

          • +1

@lostn: True, but you might miss a $1 SSD 😆

      • Yep it's a PITA. Makes it hard to search for the actual cheapest seller.

they don't have the balls to enforce it

Sorry, you think there's an element of bravery in enforcing terms of use?

      • I believe the term is "courage".

It's listed at $93 even before ebay discount, which is an amazing price and far below anything else i've seen.
really wonder what the catch is.

    • Last month I bought exactly the same product, Samsung EVO Plus 256GB SD Card, from a discount seller on eBay. It was just a fake card: when I tested with HW or FakeFlashTest it showed only 9GB of usable space.

I requested a refund and promptly got it without any questions, but it may be a hit and miss.

        Please share the seller details.

        • +2

Until he/she (Member Since: 3 hours ago) does so, this is just a baseless accusation - perhaps from a competitor.

          • +1

            @AlexF: Thanks. I didn't notice that

            • @VAA: I had the same thing happen to me. Check how long I've been a member for,

              • @Keef: Can you please the seller details. I wish we had a list of such sellers

                • @VAA: ovation2016

                • @VAA: It was oz-love-deals on ebay. I don't know if it was a genuine mistake on their part as they refunded the item promptly upon complaint, but still it was a hassle for me.
And no, I don't work for any of their competitors. I just benefitted a lot from the deals on this forum and wanted to contribute by joining and commenting as well, that's all.

          • @AlexF: I shared the details below, and no I don't work for a competitor.

      • yeah i thought about this possibility but this seller seems legit - high positive ratings, ebay premium service, seems to sell lots of products.

don't know eh. maybe i'll take the plunge and give this one a go.

        • I did the same, got ripped off. I assume its easy to get good ratings on ebay these days

      • -1

Only buy these from big reputable sellers. Like Amazon, Futu or the like.

        • would you consider an ebay seller with over 18000 positive scores "reputable"?

just curious what people generally think of ebay sellers who aren't retailers.

          • @coldazure: Not at all. They are likely just selling $1 rubbish items and the like.

There are hundreds of Asian sellers on eBay selling junk. Why would you wanna buy something of value from them?

I would never buy from someone I don't know. It's widely advertised to becareful with micro sd cards

            • @scuderiarmani: right. thanks for advice.

              • +1

@coldazure: I've thrown out dozens of $1-10 items immediately from cheap sellers. Ranging from average screen protectors, USB adapters, card readers, network devices… Etc etc. So many things didn't work. No way in hell I'd risk something like a micro sd.

        • There have been plenty of deals from this seller posted here in the past, they are reputable enough.

  • Great price on 128gb too ($40.50 after PUMPKIN).

    • +2

Note: looks like minimum purchase is $50?
So you'll need to buy more than just 1x128GB

  • This is too good to be true..

  • I don't know,,
im always suspicious of buying sdcards on ebay
there are so many fake ones out there and return or refund will be a headache

i was able to get 256gb one from harvey norman for $125 by price matching Umart

  • which one is better sandisk or samsung?

Amazon have the 128 gb sandisk for $40.51 and the 200Gb for $67

    • Either or. I've always used SanDisk memory card and have never had an issue, but sometimes the Samsungs are better specced for the same money. You can't go wrong with either.

I don't know if it applies to micro-SD cards, but with larger format SanDisk cards I've bought they've also included a 1-year license for Rescue Pro recovery software. Handy if you format over your card by accident or it gets corrupted somehow.

  • Wow. Great pricing.

  • How does this compare with the SanDisk Ultra 200GB 100MB/s UHS-1 Class 10 microSDXC that was on Amazon for $53.79 before?
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/405548

Does the UHS-3 ones have much better write speed?

  • I love how fast flash memory is coming down in price
