[NSW] Oztrail Heavy Duty Sand Bag Kit - $12 (Save $30) @ Big W, Merrylands

40

Found today at BIGW Merrylands camping section. Great price. I watched my gazebo take off in a storm a few years ago - 3 suburbs lost power when it hit the power lines. The gazebo disintegrated… never found out where it landed. $12 would have saved me from a lot of peeved neighbours who saw the flash of green outside my house.

Designed to take dirt and sand; it won’t hold water; but I will think of something. Also takes a lot less boot room than those hard plastic ones. Were about 5 sets left in store.

Edit: Reported to be nationwide, check your local store for stock.

    This is nationwide

  • Always tie off to an upwind car if possible. The standard bags are junk, the zips also tend to go on these but are still usable.

    Nation Wide ,
Finally a bunnies special that is useful in QLD.

Nappie bucket full of water is a handee alternative
+ You can wash up in it ,
and it's storage space when camping for extra ice, beer , sleeping bag ect, ect.

    • Thanks. Cannot find it on Big W website, I am guessing it's just very limited stock clearance at Merrylands only, too far to travel there.

    Upvoted for honesty :-)

  • Where do you get the sand

    • Does not have to use sand, soil and dirt will do the same job.

  • I just put tent pegs over the feet. Works the same. Put them at opposing angles as you hammer them in so it can't pull out in the wind.

    • Sometimes you just can't have pegs in the ground
