Belkin 6 Outlet 2 USB Surge Protector Powerboard $17.90 @ Bunnings

3330

Hey folks found this deal the Belkin 6 outlet surge protector power board (BSV604au2M) it is $17.90 the usual price is $47.20 at Bunnings. This is a saving of $29.30 this seems to be the cheapest price to date.

Not sure of the quality or if the USB ports are each 2.4a but I'd say the USB ports are run in parallel so most likely 2.4amps split with both.

The Belkin Surge Protector, offers extra outlets, power extension from wall outlets and protects valuable electronics from damaging power surges. This power surge protector safeguards your personal computer, printer, hard drives, modems and other hard-to-replace equipment against damage, data loss, file corruption, and system crashes.

.2 x USB ports (2.4a) for fast charging tablets, smartphones & other mobile devices
.6-Surge protected AC outlets

  • Went to Morley WA store at 5pm, sold out, went over to Bayswater and there was 5, bought 3, 2 left. Thanks OP!

  • I suggest people considering buying a surge protected power board do some research so they know what they're actually buying.

I did my research…I read this thread!

      • Did you buy it for the surge protecting feature or the 2 usb ports?

This is OzBargain - I bought it to save over $29 - mission accomplished!

          • @dm01: Should've bought a few to save even more!

            • @1jwoz: There were only a half dozen there - left the others for other bargain seekers.

      • From this thread I'm getting the impression there isn't much point forking out for these if they can't realistically protect equipment from surges.

Luckily I've never had to find out.

  • Last one purchased from Kingsgrove

  • Price match at JB-HI-FI if Bunnings is sold out. Got 3 no problem, then another guy came and got some too. All Bunnings sold out around me.

  • Don't bother go to Ji Bi Hi-Fi at North Sydney. That female cashier Tad just confirmed there is no price match policy.

Lol what a joke, show them this if you ever try again.

      • I saw another guy just matched the price with a junior staff. Then I approached to the cashier showed them this link and the manager did not price match. He said it's not "guaranteed" for price match and there are terms and conditions for price match but he could not point out which terms not satisfying the price match policy.

      • Doesn't work… They offered it for 30 bucks tho… No thanks!

        • Wow what a shitty store/staff and a poor reflection on the JBHIFI brand. My local store did it without a qualm.

  • Price matched at Melb CBD JB Hi-Fi.

  • Price match works at jbhifi Brisbane CBD Queen Street mall store.

  • Like Bunings, but hate their phones, no answer or transfer, transfer, transfer

one store hasnt picked up since 9am,

got my local JB hifi to price match

    going to pick up shortly,

    happy as larry

  • Installed it last night and I must agree with the comments here that the footprint is quite large as compared to some of the other boards e.g my previous Xiaomi 6 outlet board.

I had to move my TV cabinet slightly for this thing to fit and now that will remain a dead space.

For something this size, you'd nearly be better referring to it as a 'bigfoot print'.

  • Grabbed 2, mainly for the usb ports, My 15 year old dirty old surge protector board with a phone line pass through can finally have a rest.

  • bought last two from launceston bunnings today, and there are still stocks at hobart and devonport bunnings

    • Is this a price error? I got one at Albany and they had no idea. Had to mark it down for me.

      • +1

no, it was scaned same price at $17.90

      • I had the same issue at Marion Bunnings too, upon scanning the item it showed $47++. Luckily I took a screenshot before I went and the cashier matched the pricing nonetheless.

  • Still stock at Heatherbrae, NSW.

  • Picked up 4 of these from Burleigh.
Had a few left when I got them.

  • Crap I missed out :(

    • Damn me too

  • So. Did anyone work out if this was a clearance, or sale or loss leader?

    It's a huge price drop!

    • It was most likely a price match, someone suggested.

  • So sad this is no longer the price :(
