From what I've been finding, the PRS 650 just isn't available at the moment - apparently Sony didn't make enough stock.
If you do manage to get it (I've read rumours that it sometimes appears on the Sony store for short amounts of time), I doubt you're going to get it cheaper than the RRP.
I've got the Pocket, and paid RRP for it, and am happy with the purchase :)
even if its $299 also i'm ready to buy. But i can't find it anywhere through out Melbourne stores….

Couldn't really find the 6" version of the Sony eReader for a good price(RRP $299)
the 5" version is still avaliable at $70 less @ $230
EDIT: They are apparently discontinued
