Suggestions for a Mandoline Vegetable Slicer

Hi Guys,

I'm looking at getting a mandoline (vegie cutter).

I was wondering if anyone has any brand recommendations?

I noticed that David Jones is having a sale too

Honestly looking at the title I thought OP was looking for a string instrument.

OP: Might want to change title to say "Mandoline Slicer" or "Mandoline Vegetable Slicer". As it is I think people aren't going to click in because they don't know what a mandoline is.

      • Done - Thanks :)

Mandalorians were a predominantly human ethnolinguistic cultural group who originated on the planet Mandalore. Mandalorians had a particularly unique role in galactic history as legendary warriors against the Jedi, and could be commonly found not only on the Mandalorian homeworld and its moon, Concordia, but across Mandalorian Space and the galaxy at large on worlds such as Kalevala, Krownest, and Concord Dawn. Mandalore had a largely martial history, but by the time of the Clone Wars the pacifist and reformist New Mandalorian political faction controlled Mandalore's government, led by Duchess Satine Kryze. This led to internal conflict with other Mandalorian groups like Death Watch, who wanted to maintain the warrior ways of their Mandalorian heritage.

ive tried them, and in my opinion youre still better off using a knife and cutting board. just develop your technique, maybe watch a few youtube videos on cutting vegetables. mandolines and these vegetable cutters are another thing to wash and store deep in a cupboard

The Benriner Mandolin is sturdy and easy to clean with interchangeable blades. I own the large model (Jumbo Benriner), I used to own a TV V-Slicer and I would never cheap out like that on a mandolin again, it was piece of crap.

  • I've had the OXO one for a few years. Not too expensive, works fine.
