Any Alternatives to Sony XB90 Speakers?

Hi OZB's, I am on the lookout for a mad portable speaker and came across the XB90's.

They look pretty decent with 2x active 60mm tweeters and 2x 180mm woofers and has a 16 hours battery life. Appliance Online is selling them for $575 and the only other stores that I can find selling them are Sony and JB (at $645). I'm going to push my luck and wait for a sale of some sort before I buy it.

But just in case they sell out by then are there any other similar speakers around this price point that you can recommend? Also, does anyone know of if I can find this bad boy for cheaper?

    JBL looks a lot nicer! I bit the bullet and bought this a couple of months ago. No regrets. An external sub definitely makes a huge difference to quality though. I am curious to know what these speakers sound like?

  Ah nice one man. I listened to the Sony in JBHIFI sounded great too. These don't go as loud as the XB90s but make up for it in the clarity. If you want the extra boom it has an extra bass button with with two incremental levels of power on. That german guy did a review (although was stupidly bias toward the JBLs) if you ignore his bias and listen for yourself you get a good sense of the difference with headphones on.
