Great price for a great jacket. I got it from the exact same deal and still using it regularly. I do suggest paying a little bit more to get the one with the hood though

    • +1 on grabbing the hooded version.

    • is the hooded one part of the sale. All I can see is the one the OP listed

    • +5

If the hood was < $20 more it'd be fine but most of the time it's about $50 more!

      • If you are from melb or Adelaide , worth putting in those extra 50

    • With hood is $239 after 30% discount,

I know people like the hoods but, personally, I hardly ever use them. I find they restrict my vision and I tend to just use a "beanie" instead - even if I do wear my hooded jacket.

  • got it on previous deal.
Great jacket for a hungy :)

    • Choice, bro.

      $279.00 I am confident.

        Jesus Christ it's Xiaomi.

  • Showing no stock

  • Make sure you get a size up

    • +2

Don't you mean a size down?

      • Yes - you're right, sorry

        • +2

So, size yourself up for the size down then?

          • +2

@Pantagonist: You've managed to make that even more confusing!
Buy a size down from normal. If you normally get a medium, buy small instead.

Pro tip (or maybe I am just an idiot) - Do not put this in the washing machine, I did that a couple of weeks ago and now its completely ruined. Glad its summer now so I have time before I have to buy another

Aside from that, really great jacket for the price, easily keeps you warm during Australian winter.

    • I don't know where you live but it ain't that cold down here :)

    • You need to hand wash it and put in the washing machine on low spin. Still good as new.

    • I put it in the washing machine as well. Didn't get ruined - just need to rearrange the feathers which takes time and effort

    • +1

I think you can bring your jacket back to life by using the clothes dryer tennis ball trick. Just google that method and wash + dry your jacket accordingly to regain the puff (if that was ruined).

      • Yep just chuck it in the dryer on no heat with a tennis ball and it should fluff right up! (Also works for down sleeping bags/blankets.)

    • It's not a pro tip. You don't put down products in a washing machine. It's too delicate.

If anyone succeeded in doing so, they must have been lucky.

      • +1

I wash my Doona in the washing machine and it works well. The secret is wash it on delicate, find a very hot day to dry it and continually fluff it out to make sure it doesn’t clump.

  • I know they're warm but can't they make these life jackets look any better? lol

At least the one someone gifted me has concealed stitches so it doesn't have that compartmented floatie look.

    • Bargainers can't be choosers m8

  • This one is at this price every now and then. At least I saw it this is the 2nd time in the last 2 months

  • Imagine wearing those on the trains, probably suffocate.

  • +1

Bah, wish this was available in Perth :( I'm looking for one of these for a USA trip coming up.

  • Step aside Kathmandu, Macpac is where it's at.

I am very keen was buying this but wanted feedback from users.

  • Ah bugger missed out on being Han solo 😛

    • You wanted to shoot first.

  • Can anyone confirm if this is actually out of stock? Was gonna pick it up tomorrow :'(

    • +1

The answer is just one call away Phone: 1800 128 504

    • go for it. There is stock

  • +1

I was just there and got a Large fine. They seem to have plenty in stock. Would not trust the online stock availability thing

  • Called MacPac DFO Brisbane Airport store and asked them to price match it and they said yes. Called MacPac store in Fortitude Valley and they declined to price match. So I bought it and picked it up literally 1hr ago from MacPac store at DFO Brisbane Airport

  • Anyone had any luck with getting hold of the jacket today?? Thinking of picking up a large tomorrow if they've got stock left

    • Lots of stock at Chadstone, all sizes available yesterday. They even have stock at the back, not running out !

  • just came back from chaddy, plenty of stick still. Grab myself an S, no dramas.

  • Thanks OP.
Wife has been waiting for price to drop.
Went to chadstone today and ended up picking up 2, one for her and one for me.

They also had quick a lot of others on clearance so if you miss out on the Halos there are others available.
