Australian Flags $0.50 Each @ Bunnings

90

Bunnings Coburg has a clearance sale going on all their Aussie flags @ $0.50 each. There are two varieties:

  • 550mm x 275mm on a stick to wave in your hand (were $4.00 each)
  • 300mm x 150mm with a stand to put on your desk (were $3.00 each)

Edit: Go to the back of the store - they're on a wheeled trolley signed as "clearance as marked prices". There are about 40 of each remaining. This is possibly store-specific. You can try your local Bunnings but your mileage might vary.

  • lol "on a stick to wave in your hand" - or in between your toes?

"with a stand to put on your desk" - what bout my bench? will it work on that?

    i think im overtired. lolz

Well, the one to wave in your hand is specifically called a "handwaver" on the package, so no, I don't think it will work between your toes.

The desk one, on the other hand, did not have a specific title so may indeed work on a bench. But only a bench that's shaped like a desk. You wouldn't want to test it too far. I mean, next thing you know, people might be trying to put them on tables and/or other flat surfaces and then it's just out of control.

      ;-)

    A bogan's wet dream!

Seriously though, if a Chinese-made Australian flag being sold for nothing isn't a sign, nothing is.

    • A flag is a form of a sign. >>

I may be wrong, but I think these are Australian made? I know I got two of the full size aussie flags from Bunnings in Springvale the other day for $5.00 each and they are made in Australia, bought a tear to the eye really!

  • This ozbargainer explains how he got a free Australian flag from the federal government. It was Australian-made too for those picky about those things! http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/37336#comment-354523 ^_^
