Have your tried AUSSCRAP in Newtown, I don't go there, but the sign make me laugh every time I go past it on the train. You could always ring them and ask their copper prices.
Do you have any solid copper tube? Or flat bar? I use it for machining.

just be mindful that the days of making a "fortune" out of scrap copper have passed. the value of copper dropped considerably ~10 years

Nvm, found a scrapyard at granville that gave me $6.20 per kg for clean copper offcuts from ac installs.
My Dad had a 44 gallon drum he would collect his cutoffs in (he is a plumber). He would not cash it til it was full, it was his savings plan, he turned it into new tools.
I have a growing collection of brass locks that I intend to cash in on someday.
Thus far,over the last several mths, maybe $20-$40 worth at the current rate…
Coins on the other hand…
