  • If you’re sensitive to whey, try rice protein. Mix in a be of pea protein for complete amino acids. Comes in flavours like whey, just has a oaty flavour to it instead.

    Hi everyone

    So I took a look at our revenue yesterday to see a big spike in our ON 4.5kg whey sales…which led me to this page!! Oh boy, what an amazing price.

    We will honour price beats on this so long as the product was in stock at the time of the order and was identical (as per our standard price beat terms).

    We did receive some price beats on different flavours. From what I can see, it was only on the Extreme Milk Chocolate and Cookies flavours, so these will be eligible as long as the order was placed while these were still in stock at Amazon. Other flavours ordered (Vanilla, Double Rich Chocolate etc) will not be eligible since these are not identical products. If I am incorrect on this note please someone correct me here. There were only a handful of these orders placed so very few people are affected here.

    Also in terms of being in and out of stock, from what I can see, it went to out of stock on Amazon at 6.50pm (as this is when the post was revised with "Edit: Now on backorder "Usually dispatched within 1 to 3 weeks"."). Again, if this is incorrect, PLEASE correct me here. If correct, we will honour any orders confirmed prior to 7pm to allow for a reasonable period of additional time after this.

    I'll await confirmation from the community on this before we process these price beats. We will stand by our price beat promise as this is only fair (We are losing a LOT on these…but that's part of the risk we take offering a price beat guarantee)

    Additional note: I've instructed our CS team to hold off processing these price beats on the backend until I get confirmation here. If any have already been processed incorrectly just shoot me over a PM. I just want to make sure these are done correctly.

    • I ordered around 730 while the cookies was still in stock but selected extreme milk choc in the price beat cause I dislike the sweetness of cookies and cream. Do I miss out? :(

    • Everything you said is correct. You may still get some complaints (this is Ozbargain) from people who ordered after Amazon was out of stock and on back order, but the price match T&C's are pretty clear, so no fault of Amino Z's.

      Wow I ordered from Amazon but awesome customer service and integrity honouring your price beat! Will be purchasing through Aminoz in the future!
      Most retail stores would try to wiggle out of their price beat policy!

        @cwongtech thanks for the kind comments (just not for shopping through Amazon hahah - just kidding!). When it comes to the price beat policy, it's literally plastered all over the website and it's not something we shy away from. Over 90% of price beats are approved and we lose money on some of them, but it's our point of difference and we must stand by that. We're not here to screw our customers over, ultimately I see it as a parternship where we can deliver great value over the long-term while taking some hits along the way.

        When we're up against an international juggernaut like Amazon, we absolutely have to leverage our strength as a small business. And that means a high level of customer care and looking after our customers.

        And besides, the community at ozBargain has been so supportive of our business over the years so this is something we really, really appreciate. Online retail isn't easy!

      Hi everyone

      Okay I've spent a good part of today trying to figure this one out to determine when it did go out of stock. I've been particularly thorough with this so we get it right!

      The post was updated at 6.50pm to show that the deal was out of stock (as previously mentioned). ngengerous has confirmed to me that the order placed on Amazon was at 7.17pm and was on backorder at this time, which confirms the post update above. The screenshot uploaded also confirms this (as delivery time was 1-3 weeks, consistent with their backorder message). I've now had a couple of people confirm that it was around 7pm it went out of stock on Amazon and as noted above aja12 has confirmed it did go out of stock at 6.50pm when the post was updated.

      So instead of 6.50pm as the cutoff time (as per when the post was updated), I'll ensure we stick with 7pm allowing for an additional 10 minutes. Any order with a confirmation time of 6:59:59 PM or earlier will be approved that has ordered either the Extreme Milk Chocolate or the Cookies flavours. I understand that extreme milk sold out before cookies, but we'll keep this as a single time for simplicity and for your benefit.

      Any other flavours ordered we will have to decline unfortunately because it's not an identical product, irrespective of the time I'm afraid. As far as I can see, these were the only two flavours available at these prices.

      Meanwhile, we had a lot of orders go through after that 7pm mark with the correct flavours selected. For those who chose either of these flavours (cookies or extreme milk) after this time, I'm going to instruct the CS team to offer a 20% off discount (off your entire order that was placed - including anything else you may have purchased) so you can still proceed with this order if you choose. You'll still get the Z Points as well as store credit. It will still work out to be more than what you paid, but it still works out to be a huge saving. We don't normally do this, but this is because of the great amount of support we've received from you. If you prefer a refund, we will action this for you too.

      We've got quite a few orders to get through so I'm going to get the customer service team onto this now. We'll have these orders packed on Sunday-Tuesday (Monday being the public holiday). Because we did sell out of stock, the remaining items may incur a short delay while we get more stock in from our supplier, which is typically within a week or so.

I've just requested a screenshot or something to show it was "in stock" and not showing the "Usually dispatched within 1 to 3 weeks." message (indicating it's on backorder). I have instructed the team to contact everyone with orders after 7pm and offer the discount or refund (based on my comments above), however if I can see anything that shows that this was in stock after 7pm then we will definitely honour it.

                  @cell: Thanks for that. Yep looks to be in stock at this time for the cookies flavour.

                  I've had a look through this and there is clear evidence that this was out of stock at 7.17pm for the cookies based on the screenshot and timestamp provided by ngenerous.

                  I am unsure at what time exactly it sold out, so we will extend the cookies and cream flavour until 7.20pm to be safe here. So any order placed on or before 7.19.59pm and before on cookies I will direct our customer service team to now honour. Any order for extreme milk will stand at 6.59.59pm.

                  Thanks again for providing this. We will always honour our commitments and I hope that this demonstrates that do value our customers. I completely understand that some people will be disappointed, but we do have our price beat guidelines in place to ensure that it is something that we can offer long-term. In a perfect world, I would love to have no guidelines at all, but that is also the best way to make a business go bust!

                  However again if anyone has anything contrary to this please do assist me here. We have a commitment and I believe we are going above our commitment here. But if I'm wrong on this please share, fair is fair.

                  As mentioned, over 90% of our price beats are honoured. I make a point to our in-store and online teams that it is our objective to approve as many as possible because it is something we aggressively advertise. Most of the price beats that are rejected is due to items on competitor websites being short dated (ie. not identical), out of stock or an incorrect price being submitted. Given that the guidelines are met, we do price beat sale prices (with or without coupon codes) and irrespective of whether or not we make or lose money from that sale.

    Hi Jay,

    Aminoz have any evidence that it wasn't in stock on Amazon at 7:30 or 8:00?
    Because aminoz have to reject pending orders with some evidence. Aminoz website asks for web link n price available not a price we have purchased from an other store.

        I think they're using the time the chocolate flavour went out of stock. Cookies and cream was in stock till much later. Was even in stock at 7:30.. Not sure where they're getting 7:00 from.

          Yeah definitely going by the chocolate flavour. The choc was out of stock when I tried but the cookies and cream was in stock st 730 so I did the price beat on the aminoz website at 732. Sucks that we miss out when it was in stock.

  • Why would you bother dealing with Aminoz they are clearly not wanting to price match just wait for the next Amazon deal, or go to Costco if you've got membership - I know I will.

    I purposefully ordered with Aminoz as I wanted to support local business after reading all the comments, and yea the 10% price beat was great too but I wasn't too fussed as it came all the same with cashrewards. I didn't think about that there would be a game of counting minutes the next day. But that's okay, everyone is playing by the rules. Next time I will just go ahead and order from Amazon and not go through this.

    • With ya. The fact it took nearly 30 mins to get through their clunky checkout including having the credit card rejected 3 times stating to enter the name on card which was already in there didn't help either.

      This is where businesses shine or lose out.

      The checkout experience, the 24 hours of SPAM and the cancellation have me done. A nightmare.

        Could you let me know how many emails you received in 24 hours? I'm concerned we either have a bug, or we're just sending out too much to you. Would love your feedback on this.

        Also thanks for the feedback on the checkout. I'm going to look into this. I know the website would have been clunky due to the enormous amount of orders processed at this time. However the credit card issue shouldn't have been affected by this.

        I really appreciate you posting up the complaint. The only way we can improve is by taking this stuff on board.

          It's bit harsh to say they spam your box. In total I have 3 emails 1. Order details 2. Invoice 3. Log-in details.

          Credit should go to Jay who is trying to reply every comment targeted at aminoz

                Normally we only send out an email for the confirmation and then we will email you login details if you're creating a new account. You may also receive an invoice. If it's out of stock, we'll let you know about this too in case it was missed on the website.

                You'll get an SMS order confirmation.

                Then when we pack and ship, you'll get the tracking number.

    Good luck with getting refunds from @aminozcomau for all you people who will miss out. They still haven't refunded me from 20 days ago even after repeated emails to them, unanswered phone calls and a response that they will credit my account. time for Mr Paypal to sort it out for me.

        I purchased Cookies n Cream from Amazon at 6:52pm according to my email time stamp and it was already on backorder.

        Extreme milk purchased at 6:56PM on Amazon, also on backorder

        7:00pm cutoff time for honuoring price beat policy is quite fair.
        7:20pm is extremely generous.

          Clearly there is some degree of ambiguity here and because of that we are going to stick with 7.20pm for cookies and 7pm for extreme milk, both of which I am very confident are past the time at which Amazon sold out. I personally believe in giving the benefit of the doubt (and then some) and I think these times are well aligned with this. We're all looking to save some money of course and we have to do our best to look after our customers.

          In full honesty, this is well below our cost price (just in response to another comment posted). This is absolutely no reason for us not to honour the price beats which were placed while Amazon was in stock. We provide this guarantee and no where in our guidelines does it state that our price beat is at our discretion whether or not it is profitable. I personally am very opposed to that as it is too far in our favour, and frankly not fair to our customers.

          Of course if anyone feels that this is an unfair decision because you have missed out on these deadlines, we are offering the 20% off your entire order (not restricted to just the ON Whey purchased) or a full refund. Reading through these comments, even though there has been a huge amount of support, I am 100% aware that there are some unhappy customers of ours. I completely understand and I am more than happy for you to reach out to me via a PM and engage in a conversation.

          But as always I am extremely grateful for the support we have received. For any customers that will no longer shop with us, thank you anyway for your support to date and please reach out to me - even if you just want to complain.

          • @aminozcomau: Oh and just one further note on this to explain something I missed before, at 7:14 Amazon is showing 2 units left. At 7:17 I have an order that is showing cookies is on backorder (posted publicly in here with 1-3 week lead time, as opposed to the 7:14pm screenshot showing delivery by Oct 2).

            Given the rate of sales we had on our website, it is not a stretch to assume that 2 units were sold within 3 minutes on Amazon. So these two screenshots do make sense and this is why we have said 7.20pm as the cutoff for cookies.
