Samuel Adams Beer $59.99 at Vintage Cellars

110

Nuts! I just purchased a 24 pack from Dan Murphy's and was about to post their price of $74.99 as being decent then saw that Vintage Cellars are doing it for $59.99. I am unable to get the Vintage Cellars link as it wouldn't load so am posting Boozles for now.

i have to wash the taste of hooker spit and blood out of my mouth….

  • Tried this in the States years ago. lol'd as it tasted like home brew.

    • do you mean it tasts really bad ?

  • thanks. i'm just wondering is it worth $60 ? never tried it before.

  • Never had it before either but it rates well on this site: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/35/104

    • thanx

  • $60 for a case of questionable quality, imported beer is a bargain? When there are so many great premium Aussie beers available these days, why would you bother?

    • i do not really want to argue but i was always supprised why most ozzi are so anti american.
yeah yanks are bad i know but it is the only super power that would cover our asses if we gonna get into trouble.
back to beer. most american breweries were founded by germans and hollands (so is ours i guess). now tell me that german beer sucks.
ps i personally think that ozzi beer is the best in the world (price vs quality) but do not mind overseas brands as well when they are on sale.

        Dude, we're talking about beer.

  • The popular belief is that American beer is bad. Terrible. Like water. So I went and purchased a six pack of Samuel Adams and was pleasantly surprised. It's a quality, tasty beer although it cost $23 for 6 at Dan Murphy's. A lot of great beers cost less.

  • Had some of this when I was last in the US. Liked it enough to bring back a six pack. It's streets ahead of the usual American swill (Bud, Miller etc)

  • this was my beer of choice in the states

    • +1 as well as their Seasonal Winter style. Not a bad drop. But see that's the thing, everyones taste is different.

  • you people laughing at this because it's American beer probably haven't tasted it. Or just don't have good taste in beer.

This beer most likely craps all over the beer you drink.

(in my opinion…but fair enough if you've tried it and don't like it. Each to their own)

  • May be this beer is good compared to the other American beers. But it doesn't justify such a high price for it. You can buy much much better beers, either Australian or European for significantly lower price.

    • all i can see is beez neez and golden ale for ~$56.
tell me where i can get those ones for $45 and I will never bother about anything else.

      • yeah most good beers (Australian or otherwise) are at least $50. Occasionally something decent pops up at $40, but that's a major bargain.

Please show me these much much better beers that are significantly cheaper.

And please tell me, have you actually tried Samuel Adams before? I bet you haven't. At least state a subjective opinion based on experience, rather than a subjective opinion based on absolutely nothing (aside from prejudice).

        • no problems, dude. i've tried it today. tastes pretty good although i am not a big fan of ale. still gonna enjoy it. no doubts it is a good deal. esp. if you like ale.

      • double post.
