Does anyone know if you purchased a gift card using 28 Degrees card and buy an AU new iPad.
Will the 28 degrees insurance cover the ipad? Any previous experience in this?

Suspect the PDS says u need to make the full purchase on the credit card. But u should double check the PDS it'll be clear on eligibility
OP, if I got a cash advance using the CC and then bought a iPad using that cash then do you think insurance would cover the iPad?

I notice some people may have purchased gift cards such as the ebay gift card for the insurance coverage.I also have seen some purchased Jetstar or Qantas giftcards so they hope to also covered by their cc travel insurance.
Just want to see if any of us here have previous experience claims for this.

Price Protection does not cover the following items:

• cash or its equivalent (including gift vouchers, traveller’s cheques, tickets, postal orders and other negotiable instruments)
• perishable items including foodstuffs, groceries, beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and other consumables
• animals and living plants
• used and second-hand items
• special-order, tailor-made, or one-of-a-kind items
• items offered during a ‘closing down’, ‘going out of business’ or similar sale
• items sold as floor display discounts, imperfect, seconds, or damaged items
• items returned for a refund
• items purchased outside Australia.Why would 28 Degrees cover it - you aren't using your 28 Degrees card to buy the iPad. I am sure the people at Latitude Finance are very nice, but they aren't that nice.
It will only cover accidental damage to the gift card.
