Bunnings- Any Way to Get a Discount?

I spend thousands at Bunnings, and I'm sure many others do to. Has anyone found a way to get gift cards at a discount?

        Is there a science behind this? - I note that many items I've bought recently are 4.9% or 0% and it doesn't appear to me to be category or brand specific, very random.

          No science, just some random lotto on the discount that you won't really know these days until you get to the checkout.

          You can check prices for some things via the powerpass website, if you really want to know before hand.

          But yeah, its either 0% or 4.9% these days, nothing in the middle.

          It generally depends on how much GP the particular item has - if there is less than 5% GP, no discount (rule of thumb)

          Building materials and consumables would be 5%.

          Gardening, storage, cleaning… anything not directly related to trades would not attract a discount.

          Power tools are a bit hard to predict.

    Does my ABN HAVE to be for a professional trade (Carpenters, Plumbers, Electricians, Landscapers, Painters)?
    I have ABN but its not at all related to those trade
