Dick smith in store price of $499 for a 320GB PS3 Console with Play TV.
A 320GB PS3 retails for $599 and sells at DSE alone for that price. JB has it for $599 with 2 games and Bigw was around $538 bundled with Move starter kit.
PlayTV Sells for around $128-148 on its own, so you could sell it/trade it in and get something else.
At risk of getting flamed by all the PS3 fanboi's… for $500 I'd rather the new Xbox/Kinect bundle.
Gamers are gamers. They owe it to themselves to buy EVERY console out there.
I don't feel like there's a big difference between the systems.
The PS3 is overpriced, but it does have the edge in exclusives and features (Blu-ray, primarily), imo. Whether that justifies the price is up to you.
Play TV is not just playing TV stuff, it records TV programs. In that regard and compared with current Blu-ray/HDD recorder price, I think this is a good deal.
lol…if u are pro i would say get 2…moreover ps3 is also an entertainment unit (bluray player) so ps3 is cheaper when u have to buy xbox and bluray player…and of coz if you dont like bluray….then u might be right
You also get free online gaming on the PS3 which normally cost $100 on xbox live, so 3 years membership will cost $300 which is almost the price of a new console. You also get bluray, built-in rechargable batteries, 3D gaming and 3D movies and comes with 320GB hard drive. Xbox kinect bundle don't come with a hard drive so you need to fork out another $150-200. The PS3 is the best value for money and you are getting alot more features.
