I urgently looking for a netbook around the $300 mark (max $400). Is there anything on offer out there where I can get best value for money?
Some of the specs Im looking for (at least):
Windows 7 starter
Atom N450
1GB RAM
160GB Hard Disk

Not really, I think the Atom N450 CPU can only utilize memory up to 667mhz, using faster RAM will probably not make any difference.

Does not compute. You mean how much does a GB of 667mhz RAM cost? Very cheap, if you buy from eBay.
I just got mine at officeworks. Acer, $378. 250GB, Atom N550. 1GB DDR Memory. Comes with Windows 7 starter.
