yes, the cpu could do with being a bit faster, but it will do. if you are going to be rendering with it a lot, grab a laptop cooler pad to put under it.

  • Something would a Quadro GPU would be nice, but otherwise it shouldn't be too bad for a laptop.

  • Laptop

    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB

I'm not too sure, but I had computers that were worse and Autocad quite well, rendering on the other hand I'm unsure. But I have an Nvidia GTX1060 laptop and just letting you know it gets quite loud, not that its an issue per se, but just something to keep in mind (or at least wished I did).

    • I will keep that mind

      thanks

For that price, personally I'd wait for an eBay sale and go Dell. See my comment here:

The current offering should give you a gtx1050ti, a little less than gtx1060 for CAD but other upgrades compare to the HP should be able to offset the difference in the cuda cores, especially the screen.

One of my family relatives uses AutoCAD fine on a gtx650m

  • Depends on what demands or how you use Autocad. But generally speaking, all those tasks are heavily GPU. With any laptop, at least ensure that it has a dedicated GPU.
